The Last Pick feature is available under Project Settings.
If checked, it will automatically load the last picked Vallen Part Number for recognized RPNs during the initial project upload.
If this is checked after the initial upload, and the project is refreshed, the system will not automatically replace line items with the last picked record.
Instead, it will display the ‘LAST PICK’ button in Req. Part Number column and leave the decision for you to review the last picked record and decide if it is appropriate to load into the line item or not.
Last Picks Tab
Previous corrections that you have made for a particular RPN for a customer account can be viewed by other users working on the same RPN under the Last Picks Tab. Line items that have last pick results to display will show a ‘Last Picks’ flag in the Quoted Part Number modal.
Within the ‘Last Picks’ tab, there can be two different sets of results displayed:
- Last Picks For This Customer
- Last Picks For Other Customers
For ‘Last Picks For This Customer’, the results in this table are all prior part corrections made by yourself or other users for the RPN specified in this line item for the customer account that is specified on the project you’re currently working on.
For ‘Last Picks For Other Customers’, the results shown in this table are all prior part corrections made by yourself or other users for the RPN specified in this line item, but for all other customers' accounts and not the customer specified on your current project.
If a customer account has not been added to your project, ‘Last Picks For This Customer’ will not appear and only ‘Last Picks For Other Customers’ will appear
Line items will appear as last picks in this tab only when an RPN is added to a project, and a different part number located in one of the tabs below is selected:
- Multiple Vallen Matches
- Part Cross-Reference
- Did You Mean?
- Advanced Search Results
The next time that RPN is added to a project by any user, the part number that was selected will appear in the ‘Last Picks’ tab as a suggestion.
If the ‘Substitutes’ field is set to ‘Yes’, the system will allow users to add any Last Pick records as alternates to the current line they are working.
Last Picks Filter
The ‘Last Picks’ filter is located at the bottom of Filter by Intelligence and will allow you to filter your line items by those that have last pick suggestions.
Last Picks in Quotes without Customers
Last Picks that are recorded from projects with no customers will appear in the “Last Picks for Other Customers” section of the Last Picks tab:
Using the example in the screenshot above, when the Quoted Part # is selected for both Ref #3 and 5, the last picked Vallen part number will appear in the “Last Picks for Other Customers” table:
