The Advanced Search feature is available for Project Level searches at the top right of the page when viewing a project or for specific lines by clicking into the Quoted Part Number cell.
Advanced Search allows you to search by Part Number, Description, or MFR/Vendor within either the Part Master or Modified Parts. You can type in the name or ID, or description, of any existing Vallen manufacturer, or vendor to perform a search.
Note: When using 'Modified Parts', Supplyframe will only return updated part records or new parts created using Create & Update.
For Project Level searches done through the button on the top right of the page, you have the option to "Add to Project" by clicking the button on the right-hand side of the search results.
After clicking "Add to Project", a pop-up will appear allowing you to select a Project from the list, or select "Create a New Project"
When using Advanced Search on a specific line by clicking into the Quote Part Number cell, you can either click "Replace" to replace the current item or click "Add" to add as an alternate.
To see pricing in Advanced Search, select the “Include Price” checkbox
In order to receive pricing from SX.e, the application will ask you to populate the necessary header fields to retrieve pricing.
Fill in the four new fields in addition to the Part Number, Description, and/or the MFR/Vendor search criteria before you search.
Please note that these “Include Price” fields are not used to narrow down your search results. Instead, they are only used to request pricing from SX.e. This means that populating Base UM Code and Warehouse, for example, will not filter your search results by the Base UM Code or Warehouse selected.
Select the “Get Pricing” button to receive pricing, then after reviewing your search results, select the “Add to Project” button if searching at the Project Level to add a result to an existing or a new project in VIQ.
Please note that if you received pricing for a search result, and you add the search result to an existing project, the Unit Price you see for this line item may differ from the Unit Price you received in Advanced Search. This can happen when the header information in Advanced Search is different than the header information in the project you’ve selected.
When using Advanced Search at the Line Level, you can either click "Replace" to replace the current item or click "Add" to add as an alternate.
After performing a search, when you exit the Advanced Search tab and return back to the tab, the results from your prior search will now be retained. However, if a result is selected and loaded into the line, the previous search results will no longer be retained.
Additionally, these results will only be saved until you leave the project you are currently working on.
