You can automatically find matches that work for a part if it's on your project.
A pink "MVM" (Multiple Vallen Match) tag will appear below the part number in the Quoted Part Number cell if it has any available alternates.
Click on the tag to view available matches, which will be listed in the Multiple Vallen Matches tab. The Multiple Vallen Matches tab will show matching parts from the Part Master in one section, and Updated Parts from Quote History in another section.
Parts created using Create & Update tab will be in the New Parts section.
Each cross will list as available: Vallen Part Number, MPN, VPN, MFR/Vendor, Vendor Code, Description, S/C, Lead Time, Cost and Cost Change Date.
You can select a different part number from the Multiple Vallen Matches tab to replace the original part number. Your project will then refresh with the updated part.
If you "fix" or change a part to a Vallen Match, then you can always easily view the original requested part number by looking in the RPN column. The RPN will be bold in orange if the part has been changed.
